Commissioning Engineer - Food Manufacturing

Bonfire Recruitment is proud to be retained with an innovative Scottish SME manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of a permanent Commissioning Engineer for its food industry equipment manufacturer at its site based in the West of Scotland near Glasgow, UK.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified commissioning / development engineer to work with an exceptional R&D team at their UK headquarters near Glasgow and represent the automated food equipment manufacturer to their BRC food accredited customers throughout the UK.

The Role:

  • On site commissioning of innovative food industry machinery and equipment so that its mechanical, electrical, software and process functions perform to the contract specification whilst ensuring quality and health & safety standards are met within the allocated time and budgeted cost
  • On site PLC Programme “refining” for Mitsubushi and Allen Bradly controllers and programming controllers for servo’s and inverters
  • Support R&D and Technical teams at the R&D Glasgow location.
  • Create & write the technical manual for the commissioning process at the R&D facility
  • Assist with manufacture and testing of equipment within the R&D Facility

The Person:

  • Qualified electrical / electronic engineer with PLC Programming capability
  • Team player to with a professional & committed “can-do” attitude who is happy work autonomously on commissioning projects
  • Demonstrable experience of commissioning equipment in fast moving food production environments
  • Passionate about doing a good job whilst being part of a growing business
  • Customer focussed with excellent communication skills and a successful track record of developing customer relationships.
