Bonfire recruitment are retained in the recruitment of a Chemical Process Engineer for a unique permanent role that focusses on process design development on capital equipment at our clients newly created chemical manufacturing facility in the east midlands, UK.

The purpose of this fresh opportunity is to allow an experienced and qualified chemical engineer to apply their educational knowledge of design engineering principles for developing engineering solutions for capital projects and expense projects. Due to significant expansion of the organisation other responsibilities may include helping define scopes, detail design, and implementation and start-up activities for LIVE projects - this role will be fast paced and varied!

Responsibilities may also include:

  • Developing process studies to evaluate technical and financially viable options
  • Evaluating optimum solutions and assist in scope development taking into account budget and international HSE legislation.
  • Supporting your engineering project team to efficiently & completely define, design, implement, and start-up of your assigned project(s) which could be strategic, non-strategic, capital, expense, regulatory, or safety driven.
  • Provide assistance and advice in technical matters to both internal and external points of contact including fellow engineers, technicians, and supervisory personnel.
  • Develop engineering solutions to projects arising from CAPEX investment

This is a unique opportunity that will evolve given time and may initially be an all-encompassing role which will include reviewing and checking process design work including data, process flow diagrams, P&ID's, process equipment data sheets and process bid evaluations etc.
