Bonfire Recruitment are retained by a specialist packaging and consumable manufacturer to recruit an experienced sales focussed business development manager to focus on introducing packaging and consumables into the catering, HORECA , and public sectors across central Scotland and extended Scottish regions, UK.

Due to period of growth and investment we have an opportunity for a driven sales person with packaging or consumables experience to join a growing sales team at their Scottish site between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Working as part of the sales team and reporting to the sales director this fresh opportunity is suitable for a business development focussed Packaging and / or Catering Consumable professional that has demonstrable experience of creating new business within the Public, HORECA or Private commercial sectors from a catering perspective.

This truly unique commercially focused opportunity will allow full autonomy in identifying and driving new business growth opportunities in Scotland and you will be responsible for implementing strategic sales growth solutions to attract new clients, maximise existing relationships and give credible ideas to in house manufacturing of potential products to be designed and created.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, develop and deliver your sales growth strategy ensuring business objectives are achieved with accountability of your contribution to the UK P&L for driving market share and identifying new business opportunities
  • Account Opening – Diligently build and manage relationships with new accounts, to increase new business sales activity with an emphasis on building major accounts.
  • Maintain strong and robust relationships with existing key-partners and establish and develop new business relationships as required

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, we are looking to identify candidates who ideally:

  •    Are a natural hungry, driven and confident hands on sales professional who has a consistent pro-active attitude and demonstrable experience of surpassing sales growth KPI’s and financial targets within the supply-chain of packaging and consumables to the Catering sectors
  •    Have previously created their own sales Territory specialism within modern packaging / consumables working in the supply chain to catering requirements such as Hospitality, HoReCa , Education, Independent Schools , Universities , Fast- food retail chains or similar commercial environments
  •    Can demonstrate effective commercial sales and new business development skills with a strong track record of managing relationships for long term growth
  •    Have a proven track record of tendering and winning commercial contracts.
  •    Are comfortable working to all levels within business using strong commercial acumen and with excellent verbal and written skills
